Why a company account rather than a personal one?
Google Play offers two kinds of developer account: personal and organization. An organization account shows your company as the app’s publisher, which earns users’ trust and suits commercial apps.
New personal accounts must run a closed test with testers for two weeks before publishing to everyone; organization accounts are exempt.
A company account also keeps app revenue apart from your personal money, and makes the app an asset the company owns and can sell or transfer later.
What Google asks for an organization account
A registered legal entity, a company address and phone number, a website, and a D-U-N-S number that matches the name and address on the formation documents.
Google checks that all of this matches, so a difference in name or address between the documents and the application is the first cause of delay.
Why a US LLC?
A Wyoming or New Mexico LLC gives you an entity Google recognises, with an EIN, a US address and a US number in the company’s name, and a US bank account to receive app and subscription revenue.
The publisher profile, the payments profile and the bank account then all belong to one matching entity.
